Conference Code of Conduct
Please take a few moments to review the guidelines outlined in the conference Code of Conduct. All conference participants are expected to abide by the Code of Conduct during all conference activities, at all conference venues.
Conference Theme
The theme of Beyond Hope 2023, Dreamers & Dragons: the Many Sides of Libraries, captures the adaptability of libraries and library staff in an ever-changing world. Invoking the extremely popular role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons (D&D), and not unlike the 20-sided dice used to play D&D, the theme highlights how libraries open up a world of possibilities to our communities of users: providing access to learning and information resources in physical and digital formats, creating welcoming spaces for people to connect, share, and grow, and finding ways to help our communities flourish.
Keynote Speaker
We are very pleased to have New Westminster Public Library Chief Librarian Jorge Cárdenas join us to open the conference with the keynote address.
